Inland from the beaches lies the Sheik Zahed Road which is the main highway south towards Abu Dhabi. You will find finds lots of hotels here including the twin Emirates Tower Hotel. The new Burj Dubai which will be the tallest tower in the world is also being built here.

The Dubai World Trade Centre is situated on Sheik Zahed Road and this is becoming the new business district. Most of the hotels cater for business travellers and therefore it can be expensive.
