Dubai is a relatively recent major tourist attraction but already there are a number of guide books and maps of Dubai and the surrounding Emirates.

Publishers like Time Out, Rough Guides, Lonely Planet, Berlitz, the AA and Dorling Kindersley have all produced guide books on Dubai.

One of the problems is that guide book publishers struggle to keep up as the pace of change in Dubai is so fast that books go out of date quicker than in other regions of the world.

Dubai is reliant on expatriates to fuel this massive development boom and there are also guide books aimed specifically at the ex-pat community covering topics around doing business and working in Dubai.
