There are over a dozen maps of Dubai and the surrounding area.

Many of them are street maps of Dubai City showing all the main points of interest including hotels, shopping centres and tourist attractions.

If you plan on travelling outside of Dubai City by road, then you will need to look for a detailed road atlas.

There are also a number of online maps if you just want to get orientated before you visit Dubai.

Dubai Mini Map Explorer

ISBN: 994885893X. The Dubai Mini Map Explorer (revised 3rd edition) is published by the Explorer Group on 30 Jun 2008 and is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket.

The clean and easy to read map features a Dubai overview map on one side and detailed maps of the cities main tourist areas on the other side.

All the key landmarks and tourist attractions are clearly marked and there is also a directory of all the shopping malls, luxury hotels, beaches, parks, museums and heritage sites, hospitals, embassies and consulates plus upcoming developments.

Dubai PopOut Map

ISBN: 1845875230. The Dubai PopOut Map was published by Compass Maps on 24 Feb 2006 and features a trade marked pop-out self-folding facility to make it very easy to use.

There are a total of five maps covering Greater and Central Dubai, Jebel Ali, the Jumeirah Beach area and a country locator map of the whole of the United Arab Emirates.

The detailed maps show all the museums, over 50 places of interest, historic sites, hotels, shopping, markets, bookshops, parks and theatres.

Dubai Jumbo Street Atlas Explorer Map

ISBN: 9948858425. The Dubai Jumbo Street Atlas Explorer Map is published by the Explorer Group on 17 Jul 2008.

This is a large 350 page atlas with details of all the roads in Dubai. A complete index gives the exact location of every street, hotel, shopping centre, landmark, and major residential and commercial building.

Each double page spread shows a satelite image on one page and a detailed map of the same area on the other page.
